Objective measures are important when determining progress. However, the average weight scale at home is decieving and unreliable in the case of resistance and cardiovascular training. A reduction in weight does not always equal an improvement in overall lean body mass and a reduction in overall body fat percentage.
Built By Burds currently has access to the InBody 270 which is capable of accurately measuring weight, skeletal body mass, basal metabolic rate, and percent body weight. It can even break down a person's lean body mass per body segment in order to compare symmetry between both sides of the body. Lastly, the InBody 270 stores client information allowing changes in weight, skeletal muscle mass, and percent body fat to be compared over time.
