Curtis Burds PT, DPT, CSCS,*D CPSS, *D

Curtis Burds, PT, DPT, CSCS,*D, CPSS,*D practices full time as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) but is also passionate about enhancing the lives of people outside of the rehabilitation setting. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Both NSCA titles he has with distinction (*D) through extraordinary achievement in continuing education and contributions to the profession as defined by the NSCA Certification Committee. He obtained his Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from St. Ambrose University and his DPT from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. As a professional in both healthcare and fitness, Curtis stays up to date on evidence based practices to ensure his clients receive the greatest coaching available. 


Outside of strength training he has completed The Bank of America Chicago Marathon in 2019 and 2023, multiple half-marathons, finished the Chicago Sprint Triathlon 2024, competed in the Des Moines, Iowa Ironman 70.3, and cycled across Iowa 3x on RAGBRAI while completing three 100+ mile days on the bike. Curtis is constantly challenging himself and practices what he preaches to ensure the optimal training environment for his clients.
